Land Acquisition Management System
Land acquisition is the power of the union or a state government in India to acquire private land for the purpose of industrialisation, development of infrastructural facilities or urbanisation of the private land, and to compensate the affected land owners for their rehabilitation and resettlement.
LAMS is a dynamic system integrating the activities of various stakeholders such as Special Deputy Collector (LANH), Special Tahasildars (LANH) and the beneficiaries of Land acquisition. The goal of LAMS is to expedite the land acquisition process including verification of documents at Taluk level, preparation of Award to beneficiaries, fund transfer to designated banks, preparation of Eviction Mahazar and handing over of land to NHAI.
